An Official Look At The adidas Consortium x Kith Aspen Pack

The ADIDAS CONSORTIUM X KITH ASPEN PACK drops this weekend, consisting of two winter-ready models that take their cues from one of the U.S.’s prime skiing destinations.

We’re lucky to see a completely new silhouette in this pack, which Ronnie Fieg had a hand in developing at the adidas German HQ. It is the first ever UltraBOOST Mid, which has some notable changes from the original lower silhouette. For instance, a snug, sock-like enclosure at the ankle extends the lowcut version. And gone is the protective cage overlay, replaced with a bolstered Primeknit constructed from a thicker space dyed yarn – perfect for the colder weather – and arrives in a festive multicolor pattern with matching laces. Subtle taped panelling, including the three stripes, is situated on the side panel, while a white heel cage matches the full-length Boost cushion system.

The Response Trail BOOST is the second model in the drop and offers a lifestyle makeover to a ’90s-style trail shoe. Tonal blue in colour and with speckled white three stripes branding, the shoe is constructed with premium tumbled nubuck overlays. While it looks to the past, it’s packed with modern-day, winterized features, including double-layered mesh, a neoprene collar and a Continental rubberized outsole – inspired by Trail King bike tires that are famed for their grip.

Aspen, in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, has long been a high-end skiing spot for America’s elite. But regardless of your particular location and socioeconomic status, both styles in this pack are suited for the trainer connoisseurs who possess an appreciation for the aesthetics and functionality of outdoor-style footwear.
