adidas Originals NMD – new colourways

The ADIDAS ORIGINALS NMD series continues in its quest for world domination. And with a huge range of new colourways for men, women and children about to drop, it looks like things won’t be slowing down any time soon…

Following on from our recent NMD_R1 and NMD_XR1 previews, here’s a look at the new colourways. For those hankering after something new, there are several new versions of the NMD_XR1 with its modified cage lacing system on offer. First up, we have the triple white NMD_XR1 Primeknit, whose futuristic mix of monochromatic materials makes it look like it’s set to drop in 2061 rather than 2016. And if you’ve been fiending over our NMD Color Boost previews, you’ll finally be able to get your hands on the pack’s Core Black NMD_XR1 with its blacked-out sole unit and engineered two-tone Primeknit upper. The same style will also be available in a Bright Cyan colourway with a crisp white sole.

The ever-popular NMD_R1 returns in a number of crisp new iterations with a few bells and whistles thrown in for good measure. A simple-looking duo in White and Dark Grey turn out to be laced – literally – with 3M accents. The two-tone laces, welded stripes, upper stitching and tongue branding are reflective, perfect for increasing your visibility in the flash of a car headlight or a street-style photographer’s camera (depending on your #influence level). Keeping things more simple, a selection of effortlessly clean Red, White and Core Black colourways round out the offering.

adidas have also lined up a women’s version of the triple white NMD_XR1 Primeknit, alongside the new women’s colourways of the NMD_R1. The Vivid Red version sports a fully tonal upper in light jersey fabric with contrasting hits on the rear EVA insert and outsole. In addition to these, the Matte Silver and Tech Ink colourways boast reflective details, TPU accents and even a glow-in-the-dark outsole.
