New Balance London Cab Pack – Release Info

Cor blimey guv’nor, New Balance have just announced a highly limited new release to celebrate the launch of their London flagship store: the NEW BALANCE LONDON CAB PACK.

No dodgy Dick Van Dyke cockney accents here though, this is the real deal. Themed on the iconic London black cab, made in the world-renowned New Balance UK factory in Flimby, and exclusively available at the brand new store on the Big Smoke’s famous Oxford Street, the new pack is so British it’s basically the fish ‘n’ chips of trainer releases. Two models are on offer – the 1500 for men and the 991 for women – both of which come dressed in matte black leather inspired by the London cab’s paintwork, with orange accents to reference the taxi’s rooftop light and silver reflective hits representing the vehicle’s chrome bumper. Only 130 of these beauties have been made, of which a mere 70 will be available to purchase from the Oxford Street store – which makes this one of those very rare occasions when even us native Londoners will dare to brave the throngs of shoppers on Oxford Street to pick up a pair…
