The Nike Air Jordan 12 Retro Low ‘Max Orange’ Continues the Silhouette’s Strong Run

The AJ12 had a big year last year as trainer connoisseurs were bombarded with a slew of different colourways, and Jordan Brand is continuing this strong run of form into 2017 with the upcoming release of the NIKE AIR JORDAN 12 RETRO LOW ‘MAX ORANGE’.

This low cut iteration of the hardcourt model has received a bit of a revamp for the new year. The silhouette’s upper is mostly black with a suede upper and leather mudguard, which boasts a textured ‘lizard skin’ pattern. Where does the ‘Max Orange’ come in? The Jumpman logo on the tongue, outsole and innersole all stand out in the vibrant shade of orange, as does the ‘Jumpman’ lettered panel on the side. Interestingly, the common Gym Red has been kept, specifically on the heel tab and the familiar number ’23’ on the heel. The AJ12 silhouette dates back to 1996 and the distinctive stitched panels on the sides of the shoes took their inspiration from the Japanese Rising Sun battle flag, with each stitched section resembles a ray from sun depicted on the flag. Now there’s an ‘interesting’ fact you can share with your mates down the pub.
