The Nike Air Max 1 2017 Is One for the Connoisseurs and Purists Alike

The NIKE AIR MAX 1 2017 harks back to the original shape of the Air Max 1: a much-wanted adjustment to one of the most iconic shoes of all time.

Tinker Hatfield’s Air Max 1 design remains one of the most important shoes in Nike’s history. A definitive game changer from day one, the AM1 (or Air Max 87, as some like to refer to it) brought visible Air windows, advanced contouring and a bold aesthetic to the running shoe category. As a result, it’s remained a much-loved shoe, increasing in popularity over the decades and making regular reappearances in a myriad of colourways. What has changed over the years is the shape. Some may prefer the modern look, but for many OG heads, the original shape is something that’s been sorely missed over time. This early preview of a forthcoming drop shows the toebox in fine shape and an overall premium construction. The only question is whether we’ll we get to see the original colourway appear in this anachronistic format…
