The Reebok Classic Workout Plus Vintage: Witness the Fitness Heritage

Forget that over-optimistic New Year gym membership, it’s time to flex in the metaphorical sense with the REEBOK CLASSIC WORKOUT PLUS VINTAGE.

The iconic silhouette is resurrected and rejuvenated as part of Reebok’s new FITNESS HERITAGE range for SS17, which also sees the comeback of the classic Wmns Freestyle Hi. The shoe is synonymous with British trainer culture, especially in the famous all-white colourway complete with the unmistakeable blue Reebok branding and Union Jack icon at the lateral side. The Workout was introduced in its original form in the mid ’80s, but for this new release the silhouette has been modified slightly for an upgrade in both looks and comfort. Before anyone gets their knickers in a twist, the visual changes are subtle enough not to mess with the model’s huge vintage appeal: signature details like the H-shaped support strap are all still in full effect, but the whole thing is enhanced and refined with the use of premium leather on the upper. The major change, however, is under the bonnet, with a new midsole construction that makes the shoe lighter and even more comfortable than before. Push the envelope, max out and feel the burn etc. etc.
