Vans Vault x WTAPS Bones Pack – A Closer Look

Following on from our detailed look at the Anaconda pack, it’s time for a closer inspection of the VANS VAULT X WTAPS BONES PACK.

Revisiting one of the most iconic motifs from the two brands’ long collaboration history, this new release brings the beloved Bones pattern back from the grave. The pack comprises the OG Sk8-Hi LX, OG Chukka Boot LX and OG Authentic LX, each coming in WTAPS’ signature military-inspired rich olive and deep black colourways. Premium canvas and suede provide a base for the embroidered Bones motif, beautifully offset by clean white midsoles and the famous Vans waffle pattern beneath. The tongue and side labels feature WTAPS’ mil-spec branding, while the red Vans logo adorns the heel.

To fit the theme, we photographed the Sk8-His and Chukkas in the gothic surroundings of East London’s Shall Adore tattoo parlour. The shoes’ good looks are matched by their construction: in the flesh (as always with WTAPS’ offerings) the quality is immediately evident in the premium materials and attention to detail. WTAPS’ motto is “Placing Things Where They Should Be”, and these beauties should damn well be on your feet.
