CHRISTOPHER RAEBURN SS19

The CHRISTOPHER RAEBURN SS19 runway collection showed at LF:W to much applause.

The concept of sustainability within the fashion industry is big news right now but Raeburn has been a vigorous advocate of conscientious consumption for almost a decade. Through his remade program (inspired by the re-purposed parachute his Grandmother was married in) he sought to find a life for garments beyond their traditional lifespan. This season sees the continuation through a partnership with TIMBERLAND where items were sourced from flea-markets and thriftstores to be re-imagined as contemporary garments. The sustainability aspect carries through the collection with images obtained from NASA of melting icecaps were applied to a range of items including kaftans, shirts and shorts.

Raeburn’s call to arms collection is as much of an ethical success as an aesthetic one. Guilt free clothing at it’s finest.

The CHRISTOPHER RAEBURN SS19 collection will be available towards the end of the year. For now have a look at the backstage images below and the current range can be shopped by CLICKING THE BANNERS
