The new NIKELAB ESSENTIALS SS17 COLLECTION merges minimal design with maximum performance.

While last season’s range of slick layering pieces focused on cold-weather insulation, the new apparel collection is designed and built for movement. Super-lightweight construction is combined with advanced fabrics and articulated fits to produce a range of high-performance garments with a no-nonsense colour palette. The outer layers are enhanced with water-repellent coatings to keep you going whatever the weather, while sweat-wicking Dri-FIT material helps to regulate your temperature and keep you comfortable whether you’re warming up or working out. Articulated sleeves increase your freedom of movement, reflective hits make you visible in low light conditions and media pockets with headphone cord openings keep you plugged into your “power tunes”.

Just like the matching women’s collection, these pieces look as good as they feel. The outerwear puts a performance spin on street-style staples, taking some of our favourite jacket silhouettes to the next level. Water-repellent soft shell anoraks come in black and white with multiple zip vents for a futuristic sports-luxe look, while the classic bomber is modified with bonded pockets, magnetic closures and an internal carrying strap in an ACG-esque take on the ever-popular military aesthetic. A pair of half-zip tops mix water-repellent fabric with Dri-FIT to perform just as well on their own or as layering pieces, and the hoodies feature stretch fabric, two-way zippers and the instantly-recognisable sideways NikeLab Essentials branding.
