Black winter: THE NORTH FACE X MASTERMIND collection is coming to London

Luxury meets utility with THE NORTH FACE X MASTERMIND collection, and it’s set for an exclusive London release this weekend.

After five decades of pioneering outerwear excellence, The North Face has explored well beyond its traditional market this season with a slew of high-profile collabs and capsule collections that merged functional design with contemporary aesthetics (and sold out like hot cakes as a result). Now the cold-weather champions step back up to the plate with a new project that sees The North Face Urban Exploration (the brand’s modern, city-focussed line) join forces with legendary Japanese designer Masaaki Homma and his mastermind imprint. As you’d expect, the result is a capsule collection that reimagines some of the best-loved TNF silhouettes through the dark, luxurious, skull-embellished lens of mastermind. The Nuptse Jacket (which reached its 25th anniversary this year), Mountain Jacket and Denali Fleece all come in black and camo iterations, with goose down insulation for lightweight warmth and GORE-TEX and DryVent technology to keep you dry no matter the conditions. The outerwear is complemented by a selection of pants, t-shirts and accessories that come in the same black and camo colourways with FlashDry fabric for moisture wicking and quick drying. Each piece comes with the mastermind skull branding sitting alongside the familiar TNF logo to add the finishing touch to another top-tier collab.
