The story behind this special release is as captivating as the shoe itself. The design team from German retailer 43Einhalb headed over to Flimby, England where New Balance’s UK manufacturing facility is based and it’s this voyage that inspires the shoe’s ‘The Trip’ title and styling. Colour inspiration was taken from the beautiful countryside landscape around the New Balance location in Cumbria, juxtaposed with hues borrowed from concrete walls and chalky cliff faces. As you’d expect, this is a thoroughly premium affair from start to finish, with leather tongues, custom insoles and special packaging that elevates this above your typical 1500 release.
