The adidas Consortium Women’s Samba arrives in Deep Hue

adidas Originals celebrate International Women’s Day 2017 with the ADIDAS CONSORTIUM WOMEN’S SAMBA DEEP HUE pack.

Stoking the fires of a continued demand for female focused trainer styles, the three pack offering takes on an update of what is arguably one of the brand’s most recognisable silhouettes, the Samba. Building on the bold colours of Emmeline Pankhurst’s Women’s Social and Political Union party – the final colourways of green, grey and purple create an expression of powerful and diverse femininity, paying its dues to an organisation that inspired generations of forward thinking women and feminist movements to come.

Boasting a soft monochromatic premium suede upper, there’s an injection of modernity in the threaded 3-Stripes detailing, which is subtly complimented by embossed Samba lettering, premium leather lining, a branded Consortium insole and colour matching flat cotton laces, before the shoe is finished off with a classic gum outsole.

Fronting the campaign are equally inspiring London-based photographer Christina Nwabugo and stylist Mercy Su, a pairing pairing whose straightforward and self confident approach to creativity is inspiring to any fellow female, and the perfect match to this release.

Supporting women’s rights and equality, a percentage of sales from the pack will go towards Moving The Goalposts (MTG), which is a community based organisation that utilises football to empower girls in the Kilifi and Kwale County area of East Africa.
