The ADIDAS CONSORTIUM x OVERKILL COAT OF ARMS PACK draws inspiration from the streets of Kreuzberg to offer a dynamic footwear duo in time for summer.
Since opening in Berlin’s multi-cultural Kreuzberg district back in 2003, OVERKILL has become the city’s prime destination for street-ready footwear and apparel. Now, paying homage to the area, the retailer teams with adidas Consortium for a custom take on the brand’s coveted EQT series.
Entitled the ‘Coat of Arms’, the two-piece pack utilises a colour palette that mirrors the red, black and white of Kreuzberg’s traditional emblem. Staunch fans of adidas’ newly reignited Equipment range from the ‘90s, OVERKILL were a pivotal store in EQT ADV Support’s recent comeback, making the runner-turned-lifestyle silhouette a perfectly poised for this collaboration. Design elements lean towards the store’s favourite models, the EQT Support 93 and EQT Guidance, featuring a mid-grey upper with red and black accents, plus an OVERKILL branding blast on the model’s distinctive ankle strap.
Second up is the EQT Support Future, which is given a 2017 update to further modernize it’s original form. Also injecting the “Coat of Arms” colourway, the OVERKILL edition comes in two-tone grey with bold red stripes with a nod to the store and model taking to the instep.
In a nutshell, this top drawer collaboration shows exactly why OVERKILL have been holding it down in the sneaker game for almost 15 years, so don’t sleep on this slice of old-meets-new sneaker action.
