adidas Originals EQT Support 93/16 ‘Chinese New Year’ Crows in The Year of the Rooster

The Three Stripes continues the celebration of the upcoming Year of the Rooster with the ADIDAS ORIGINALS EQT SUPPORT 93/16 ‘CHINESE NEW YEAR’.

Following the brand’s release of the Chinese New Year Pack, adidas Originals has designed this imminent silhouette by combining the upper of the EQT Support 93, which is presented in a cream-like colourway, with the crisp white Ultra Boost sole. A bright green TPU support shank at the mid provides contrast. Feather-like inlays and suede overlays are combined with tricolor embroidery of a Rooster along the heel, as well as rooster graphic insoles, celebrate the Year of the Rooster. Look for the kicks to launch soon through select adidas retailers, and select pairs will arrive in a deluxe wooden box with a rooster hang tag.

The EQT range recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. The EQT (EQT being shorthand for ‘Equipment’) collection had a simple slogan, ‘The Best of adidas’, and was comprised of a collection of trainers and apparel that covered every sport in the adidas stable According to the range’s creative director, Peter Moore, the name ‘Equipment’ was chosen as it was a no-nonsense label that got straight to the core of the collection’s appeal – performance and functionality.
