adidas Originals NMD: A Closer Look

This week we see a wave of new additions to the ADIDAS ORIGINALS NMD family as the hot summer months pave way for a series of new additions to the ever-growing range, with second generation model the R2 causing a particular stir.

Catering for both men and women, the latest NMD selection includes three instantly classic silhouettes – the ADIDAS ORIGINALS NMD_R2, ADIDAS ORIGINALS NMD_R2 PRIMEKNIT, and ADIDAS ORIGINALS NMD_CS2. First up, the NMD_R2 serves up a range of understated colour palettes, ranging from red, white, black, and grey in men’s sizes and a two-tone effect pink, white/grey, and black tailored to the ladies. The NMD_R2 Primeknit switches things up slightly by utilising a ‘shadow knit’ technique that sees the shoe’s uppers shift colour in the light. Offered in striking pink or black atop essential NMD Boost tooling, extra details are added with welded 3-stripe and premium nubuck heel-patches, with both options also featuring the ‘white noise’ motif and asymmetric EVA insert, which has quickly become synonymous with the R2.

Finally, adidas’ supreme sock-fit silhouette, NMD_CS2, adds a minimalist touch to the pack, stepping forth with two new colourways, also in both men’s and women’s size runs. Both undergo a full Primeknit construction, with the model’s signature single-panel design wrapping around the foot for the upmost in casual style. Elevated with an all over graphic pattern, the women’s black colourway is finished with an expert flash of pink, whilst the men’s opts for an all over tonal black palette – not forgetting an extra dose of comfort with that classic white BOOST midsole.
