The adidas Originals NMD_R1 ‘Gum Pack’ Offers More Options for NMD Fans
The Three Stripes is really throwing its weight behind the gum outsole movement, as just after The Drop Date told you about the City Sock Gum Pack and the Iniki Runner, the brand has revealed news of its upcoming ADIDAS ORIGINALS NMD_R1 ‘GUM PACK’.
This NMD_R1 Primeknit pack will be available in two colourways, ‘Triple White’ and ‘Triple Black’. It isn’t always necessary to reinvent the wheel, and adidas wisely has opted to keep things simple. The monochromatic uppers are contrasted with a white Boost sole and EVA plugs, with the vintage-style gum outsole providing the finish. The success and popularity of the NMD doesn’t seem like dropping off any time soon, and with releases like this it’s not difficult to see why. The only difficulty is deciding which pair to buy and if you can limit yourself to just the one. Which brings us to our next point – the NMD_R1 ‘Gum Pack’ releases on the same day as the NMD City Sock ‘Gum Pack’, and given how quickly the silhouette flies off the shelves, we’ve all got some soul searching to do – do we try and nab the City Sock or the R1… and in which colourway? In Internet parlance, this is referred to as a ‘First World Problem’, but hey, it doesn’t mean that decisions like these shouldn’t weigh heavily on our precious, trainer-obsessed minds…
