adidas Originals Tobacco: On-Foot Shots

The ADIDAS ORIGINALS TOBACCO is one of the most recognisable models from the adidas archives. Purists will be delighted to see the shoe back in this form, reminding us why the Tobacco became the stuff of legend for many years after its release.

Billed as the ultimate lifestyle shoe, the Tobacco was originally released in 1978 functioned well as a piece of performance footwear. It’s a low-tech design, but when the materials and construction are as flawless as they are here, who needs springs and bubbles? The tanned suede upper shows off the quality of the fabrication, with the archetypal leather 3-Stripes reminding us who’s behind such a masterpiece. We’ve seen the Tobacco in various colours over the years, but this has to be one of the best yet: the tan Mesa suede reminds us of the original ’78 shoe, with black stripes and heel tabs to add a little extra contrast.
