The Luxurious adidas Originals x Hender Scheme Trio Drops This Weekend

A play on Sandra Bem’s “gender schema” theory, artisan Japanese brand Hender Scheme was started by Ryo Kashiwazaki in a bid to re-craft popular iconic sneaker models from the likes of Nike and adidas. A trained cobbler, Ryo’s luxury-oozing reiterations are crafted entirely by hand in premium leather and have quickly caught the attentions of Tokyo’s fashion elite, as well as adidas themselves.

The brand took their interests one step further, joining forces with Hender Scheme for a collaboration that flips the usual footwear co-working production process right on its head. Working with the Micropacer, Superstar and a Boost-less NMD model – the shoes are stripped back and built-to-last by hand at Hender Scheme’s Tokyo base, rather than adidas factories. Limited to 300 pairs per style, it’s sure to be a special drop for those collector’s who like to go a little deeper behind the scenes with their footwear.

We teased the Micropacer in Hender Scheme’s trademark light pastel tan shade last month, but official images of the trio have finally surfaced, showing the full collection in all its glory. Check them out below and expect a drop next month.
