Suited & Booted: The adidas Originals x size? x Henry Poole & Co Collection

Hot off the press, the ADIDAS ORIGINALS x SIZE? x HENRY POOLE & CO collaboration fuses the Savile Row tailor’s rich heritage with two silhouettes from adidas’ coveted NMD range.

When it comes to bespoke suiting, nothing screams swanky much more than Savile Row. Taking this sentiment on board, the forthcoming limited edition pack adapts the ADIDAS ORIGINALS NMD_R2 and ADIDAS ORIGINALS NMD_XR1 with expertly seasoned design cues garnered from Henry Poole’s inimitable suit-making skills.

Utilising custom made fabrics inspired by the celebrated British tailors iconic day and evening suit silhouettes, the two piece offering moves from dawn to dusk without any fuss, priming the NMD R2 for daytime wear with a grey chalk stripe flannel day suit fabric, which is finished with a corresponding charcoal Boost midsole.

As the darkness rolls in, the style dial is turned up another notch, with the NMD_XR1 taking us into a tuxedo territory, transforming the minimal running-inspired silhouette with midnight blue uppers and subtle black overlays. Following suit of the NMD_R2, it also boasts a charcoal Boost midsole, complete with white accenting and outsole. Sophisticated flourishes of tailoring are heavily apparent across the collaboration’s design and construction, with the classic Cundey Weave used in Henry Poole’s jacket lining and bow ties featuring on both models’ sock lining. Last but not least, extra finesse is added with adidas Originals x Henry Poole selvedge subtly positioned on the heel.
