adidas Originals pull out all of the stops with their ADIDAS SPEZIAL SS17 FOOTWEAR COLLECTION, drawing on both seasoned silhouettes and long lost archive models.

Over the past two years, the SPEZIAL capsule has fast become a lynchpin of the Originals output. Inspired by the heritage of adidas’ own extensive archive, the collection’s premium apparel and footwear pieces draw on the brand’s rich past, whilst also injecting a flurry of modern touches, which we explored in our apparel and footwear overview last week.

Zooming in closer on the Spezial footwear, this season’s footwear options draw close parallels between reggae and terrace wear, carrying the blue suede Jogger SPZL, vivid red runner Atlanta SPZL, the retro green and white styled Trainer SPZL, suede polyester finished Wensley SPZL and dark hued Mallison SPZL, as well as new addition Garwen SPZL, which takes design cues from the long lost brown leather Brisbane leisure shoe.

Weighing in with a good balance of football and music influences across much loved classic shapes, the ADIDAS SPEZIAL SS17 FOOTWEAR COLLECTION promises to be a timeless addition to the modern sportswear wardrobe. With various styles launching on FRIDAY MARCH 17 and FRIDAY 24 MARCH, check back shortly for the full stockist information.
