Performance Meets Purpose: adidas x Parley Run For The Oceans

The ADIDAS X PARLEY RUN FOR THE OCEANS pack is a powerful call to action for ocean conservation, adding unique purpose to the brand’s leading performance models.

With global warming, acidification, and marine plastic pollution on the rise – a growing threat to the oceans is a threat to all life as we know it. Passing on a message to the world, adidas mark the upcoming World Oceans Day on Thursday 8 June by launching three environmentally conscious Parley editions of their popular UltraBOOST, UltraBOOST X, and UltraBOOST Uncaged models.  

Available in fresh blue colourway inspired by the oceans deep shades of blue, the Parley range sees adidas turn a threat into a thread by upcycling plastic debris found in the ocean to form the signature elements of their performance-led designs, all paired with the brand’s energy-heightening BOOST technology. Reusing an average of 11 plastic bottles per pair, the environmentally friendly model utilises waste across the whole silhouette, including its Primeknit upper, laces, heel webbing, heel lining, and a sock liner covers made from recycled PET material, pairing performance with purpose.

The drop will be paired with a run in New York City, plus a Digital Run taking place on 5-11 June. Run to become part of the movement and register now. No matter where you are in the world, you’ll be part of an international movement of runners taking action for the oceans, one mile at a time.
