Mind the Gap: it’s the adidas Originals x TfL Collection

Transport for London join heads with adidas for an extra special collaboration this week, focusing on three sought-after styles: the TEMPER RUN, CONTINENTAL 80 and ZM500 RM. Given a twist with influences from the London Underground, the Temper Run spotlights the Oyster Card, working the card’s yellow and blue accents over a light grey suede base, which is completed with a “Mind The Gap” roundel to the left tongue. The Continental 80 pays homage to the first underground line in the world, which ran 3 ¾ miles from Paddington to Farringdon. Now part of the Metropolitan Line, its purple line runs down the side of this medium grey version of the silhouette. Finally, the ZM500 RM takes cues from vintage advertising posters found in abandoned train stations, working a solid black upper with blue and red accents. The ‘Hidden London’ roundel is printed on the tongue of the right foot and celebrates London Transport Museum’s exclusive programme of tours and events at disused stations and secret sites across London. 

The “Oyster Club” package is completed with a custom leather card wallet, limited packaging, and a complimentary Oyster Card topped up with £80 credit, matching their retail costs.
