adidas Y-3 2017/2018 Winter Season Collection – A Sneak Peak

Y-3 supremo Yohji Yamamoto offered up a tantalising glimpse of the ADIDAS Y-3 2017/2018 WINTER SEASON COLLECTION via a series of Instagram images.

It appears as if fans of the adidas Y-3 line will have plenty of impressive and forward-looking new footwear models to choose from at the end of this year, as the label’s recent runway show offered a preview of a bunch of new silhouettes for the winter. So what should sneaker lovers and fans of the minimalist collaboration between Yamamoto and the Three Stripes expect? Looking at the insta snaps, we can see a triple black colourway of the PureBOOST, as well as an ultra high top iteration of the Qasa. There will be some new pieces making their debut, too, such as the Zazu High, Mira and Ayero silhouettes.

The Y-3 Sport imprint takes Yamamoto’s future-goth-ninja aesthetic and melds it seamlessly (or rather, taped-seamedly) with adidas’ sporting prowess. The winter collection is based around fashion’s favourite non-colour black (just like the label’s recent Y-3 Sport AW16 collection), with charcoal and white accents adding extra sleek appeal. And of course, it all has Yamamoto’s signature futuristic flair.
