The Air Jordan 6 Retro Alternate ’91 Arrives This Weekend
The Nike AIR JORDAN 6 RETRO ALTERNATE ’91 brings back one of our favourite Jordan models in a new-yet-classic Chicago Bulls colourway.
Throughout Michael Jordan’s career, he has competed and won in endless categories: the NBA Finals, MVP honours, scoring titles… the list is endless. Twenty-six years after its original introduction, the Air Jordan VI returns once again, this time in a hypothetical format. Using MJ’s team hues and classic colour blocking, the ‘Alternate ’91’ represents what might have been during the G.O.A.T.’s playing days. Using white perforations across the leather overlays, Pure Platinum on the panels and Gym Red on the liner, tongue and lace locks, this truly looks like a long-lost classic, convincingly portraying the early ’90s era of basketball footwear. 1991 is stitched onto the inner tongue lining in an effort to pay homage to the year that the Jordan VI originally released. Reminding us of the Maroon Air Jordan 6 and the Hare Air Jordan 7, it’s the classic that never was!
