Air Max Day 2018: One Hell of a Line-Up

Now Christmas and has passed and the New Year fully settled in, it’s time to gear up for the next big event marked on our calendars: AIR MAX DAY 2018.

Taking place on March 26th, Nike have a lot to follow up on after unleashing the VaporMax for last year’s celebrations, but it seems the teased bevvy of cult classics won’t disappoint, as the Swoosh look set to bridge the gap between both pioneering and contemporary Air Max models, with the release of the NIKE AIR MAX 180 ULTRAMARINE in its OG form on February 2nd alongside the rounded heel and neoprene collared NIKE AIR MAX 93, which was often referred to within the design team as the “270.” (Hint, hint?)

The NIKE VAPORMAX PLUS is a true combination of old and new, fusing together the year-old VaporMax silhouette with the Tn, which is currently celebrating twenty years in circulation. Whilst we’ve seen limited numbers of the hybrid model already drop, a full release will follow later this month on January 25th.

However, the big reveal this year comes in the form of the NIKE AIR MAX 270 – the first model of the visible Air line designed specifically for lifestyle wear. Boasting the biggest heel bag yet, the model will see its first drop on February 1st, followed by a slew of new colourways on March 2nd. If the dominance of last years VaporMax model is anything to go by, we’ll be seeing a lot more of the 270 in the coming 12 months…
