TITOLO x ASICS GEL LYTE III PAPERCUT

Swiss retailer TITOLO is the next in line to add their collaboration to the 25th anniversary celebrations of the ASICS GEL LYTE III. The resulting TITOLO x ASICS GEL LYTE III PAPERCUT fits perfectly alongside the other releases in the series we’ve seen so far.

Alongside watchmaking, one of the most iconic traditional precision crafts in Switzerland is the art of ‘Scherenschnitt’, which translates to English as PAPERCUT and it features not only on the GEL LYTE III we see here, but also the ceiling at TITOLO. On this collaboration shoe, black suede dominates the upper section, with perforations on the toebox, whilst pops of red on the lining, outsole and laces add some contrast. The intricate and delicate patterns that are the inspiration for this design are rendered in black on the off-white sockliner and white sidestripes and insole, with red silhouettes on the heel rounding off the detailing perfectly. We’ve seen a few 25th anniversary GEL LYTE III releases so far this year, but all of them have been very different and show the versatility of this iconic model.
