In this latest collaboration with Yu Nagaba, ASICS treats us to the GELSAGATM model, matched with three apparel items and a cap. This capsule is in celebration of the one-year anniversary of the opening of the ASICS-TIGER Shibuya store, presenting a beautifully crafted shoe in birch coloured leather upper, dressed with Nagaba’s handwriting and illustrations. The illustrations are based on a concept of the love a boy has for his girlfriend, incorporating artworks drawn from a boy’s photographs of his girlfriend taken on the streets of Shibuya and Shinjuku. The illustrations are seen on the back counter, outsole, and sock-liners of each shoe, with the corresponding cities written by Nagaba on each lace tip. The simple design is creatively finished with 3M features, taking shape across the artwork and shoe logos.
