Linking up once again in celebration of the Japanese label’s latest flagship opening, atmos and adidas show off the Gazelle 85 ‘Patchwork’.

Over the previous two decades, atmos and adidas have given us a plethora of esteemed iterations. From the LWST Beef and Broccoli to the ZX 8000 G-SNK 5, they know exactly how to deliver a solid silhouette. And now, turning their sights to an OG, the alliance are debuting a Gazelle 85. Taken straight outta of the archives, this nostalgic model is reimagined with a patchwork-ed persona that seamlessly captures the streetwear essence of the Japanese label. A Closer Look at the Atmos x adidas Gazelle 85 (II0002)…

Expressing a variety of tonal hues throughout the upper, the contrast stitching connects hues of mustard, brown, dark grey and brown. Juxtaposing materials illuminates each colour, from supple and tumbled leathers to smooth and distressed suedes. These elements work in unison to deliver an unconventional masterpiece, brought together via the ‘Vachetta Tan’ hue reflected within the lacing system and toe cap. Continuing on the wave of design contrast that just makes sense, the inner lining and tongue boasts a deep navy blue, whilst the iconic trefoil proudly graces the tongue.
