BAIT x ASICS Tiger Gel Lyte III Nightmare – Release Info

The BAIT X ASICS TIGER GEL LYTE III NIGHTMARE is the next collaborative release as part of the model’s 25th anniversary.

This is the fourth collaboration BAIT has done on this model and it aims to be the most aggressive iteration of the GEL LYTE III to date. With a moniker like NIGHTMARE you would expect a dark and moody upper – and that is exactly what you get, with a combination of black Tilapia skin suede and scaled reptile suede resting over the top of a matching full-grain leather base. Contrast is provided by a silver metal mesh on the quarter, with 3M hexagons tracing back to the roots of its previous collabs. The tongue is split between black wire mesh and silver wire mesh that sit over the top of BAIT branded reflective 3M panels. The premium feel continues onto the black leather lining and insole, the latter of which features dual branding in white. A white midsole adds some stark contrast down below and is hit with black speckles to tie in with the upper. Rounding things off is an iced-out outsole, the first of its kind, that features bold ASICS branding on the left foot and BAIT on the right. There will be three lace options – silver 3M rope, black waxed rope, and black waxed flat – which will tie everything together nicely. There have already been some pretty unusual looks and impressive levels of detail on the GEL LYTE III collaborations this year, but this one has to be up there with the best of them.
