Bait x Dreamworks x Diadora N.9000 ‘Shrek & Felix’ Celebrates Beloved Animated Characters

The BAIT X DREAMWORKS X DIADORA N.9000 ‘SHREK & FELIX’ is the collaboration you never knew you needed in your life, but it will soon be here and my goodness isn’t life glorious!

Bait, the U.S. west coast retailer,  has partnered with Dreamworks Studios to deliver a ongoing and imaginative set of Diadora trainers that celebrate some of the most well known an beloved characters from Dreamworks’ animated movies. The first of the series will deliver two colourways that celebrate Shrek and Felix the Cat. The two organizations have opted to use the ‘Made In Italy’ style of the Diadora N.9000 as their canvas and have fashioned them in appropriate colour schemes. The Shrek shoe employs olive green, like the colour of Shrek’s skin, and blends premium suede, apricot leather, and heathered canvas. The outsole is even speckled with straw-coloured particles, while an illustrated insole features the lovable green ogre Shrek himself, as well as from BAIT, Diadora and Dreamworks branding.

The ‘Felix the Cat’ version comes in a black and white colorway – understandable given Felix’s black and white skin and his origins from the silent movie period – and is constructed with premium velvet suede, tumbled nubuck, and Augusta Italian leather. The sole unit features speckled midsole accents with a unique printed insole featuring Felix.

This is a really interesting and creative theme for a collaboration, one that’s off to a strong start with others expected in future. And The Drop Date can get behind the use of the Diadora N.9000 Made in Italy silhouette – a favourite of the crew’s. We can wait to see which animated stars will be next up in the series.
