BAPE x adidas NMD – A First Look

The BAPE x ADIDAS NMD collaboration unites the Japanese streetwear brand with the Three Stripes once again on a release that’s certain to get peoples’ heads in a spin.

This special release brings us two colourways of the adidas NMD_R1 featuring the much-loved BAPE camouflage print across the entire uppers of the shoes. Instead of using the Primeknit or mesh construction that we’ve seen previously on this model, there’s an elastic-looking neoprene upper, with taped three-stripes detailing, clean white Boost soles, and coloured NMD blocks that tie everything together. The NMD R1 is impressive enough in its basic form, but with this camo dip and muted colour blocking, we think these could be contenders for two of the nicest shoes of 2016.
