After recently giving us a nice insight into the workings of Le Coq Sportif, Lester Jones from www.idigyoursoleman.com has just dropped a follow up feature, this time with London’s FOOTPATROL as the subject.
Now firmly settled in their Soho home since setting up shop in 2010, Footpatrol is very much the beating heart of the capital’s trainer scene and the queues every Saturday morning (or Friday night, or Thursday lunchtime depending on the release) are indicative of of this diminutive, hidden boutique’s strength in the upper echelons of the footwear retail market. Its premises may be small but the proof of the hard work put in by those at FootPatrol is in the devotion of its customers, who return time and time again because of both the quality of experience given by those in-store and the quality of product on offer.
With so much of the trainer retail market moving into cyberspace, having a spot in central London with guys that are always down for a chinwag – who know their stuff and are willing to share knowledge – is a luxury that ought not to be taken for granted. Operations manager Jimmy Horrocks talks us through Footpatrol’s ethos, the product on offer and the collaborative projects they’ve worked on during their tenure on Berwick Street in the film which you can watch below.
