The Running Track meets the Catwalk with the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME x Nike Air Max 180

The COMME DES GARÇONS HOMME x NIKE AIR MAX 180 marks the long-awaited return of one of the most important pieces of artillery in the Nike running arsenal: the Air Max 180.

During Paris Fashion Week last June, COMME des GARÇONS HOMME gave the world a heads-up on its Spring/Summer 2018 range. The clothing was one thing, but the news that there were three Air Max 180s involved had many Nike fans salivating furiously. The hues involved in this collaboration release might be a little… ummm… challenging for some people, but no one could say that CDG ever play it safe. Dropping in three colour schemes – Laser Pink/Solar Red-White, Laser Pink/Solar Red-Black and Laser Pink/Solar Red-Pink Rise – these are guaranteed to turn heads, should you manage to pick a pair up. An acquired taste? Maybe… but rumours that there’s a retro of the original Ultramarine colourway from 1991 on the way should appease most of the 180 fans out there. Two of the three shoes have surfaced in official(ish) looking images, so we mocked up the third colourway, based on the other images we’ve seen online.
