There have been quite a few variations of the CONVERSE JACK PURCELL through the years – and this time the focus is on comfort and durability.

At first glance you may wonder where the changes are, as these look very true to the original design. Despite these deceptive first appearances,CONVERSE claim that there are an impressive 18 revisions on this new model. Starting from the top, the shoe features an upper that’s now created using a two-ply duck canvas and a winged tongue, both designed to increase strength and durability. A more modern look is created by the two-piece moulded foxing construction with streamlined toecap and other special details, such as the polished aluminium eyelets. Arguably, the most intriguing change is one you don’t really see; NIKE ZOOM technology is now included in the Ortholite insole as well as an open weave forefoot constructed in cotton and leather for better breathability and mobility. The package is rounded off with signature logos on the tongue, heel, outsole and lining.
