A popular silhouette for Converse’s collaborations this year, we’ve already seen Footpatrol, Colette, Tyler, The Creator and Undefeated put their very own stamp on the One Star, but now it’s time for Edison Chen and Kevin Poon’s Asian powerhouse CLOT to take to take the reins.

Differentiating themselves from the previous collaborations we’ve seen across the model so far, the CLOT edition runs with a satisfyingly simple two tone black and white palette, constructed in a hairy suede upper for a “worn in” look.  Balanced out with a clean white midsole which displays delicate yin yang symbols, the inner-midsole also houses a selection of Simplified Chinese characters that come from the Analects of Confucius. Roughly translating to “Ancient scholars for themselves, today’s Scholars for people,” the text references a Confucian thought process that implies the search for knowledge should be motivated by the self, rather than for the recognition of others. 

A simple yet effective release, the forthcoming collab takes a second out to dives a little deeper below the surface, and we’re sure it’ll pay off…
