The CONVERSE X FOOTPATROL ONE STAR ‘JEWELS OF SOHO’ was launched with a suitably local event, and The Drop Date was on hand to chronicle what went down.
The new collab celebrates Soho’s finest, so it was only fitting for the launch celebration to be held in one of the area’s many historic pubs. Built in 1727, The George is steeped in the neigbourhood’s history and was the perfect launch pad for Footpatrol’s latest release, which pays homage to five local characters and institutions: Dukes Cupboard, Reckless Records, Bar Bruno, master tailor Jac Hui and Frith Street Tattoo. Of course Footpatrol is a Soho legend in its own right, and the launch night saw a large and motley crew of family, friends and Converse connoisseurs assembled to toast the new release. Pints were pulled, chips came wrapped in newspaper, and the music was provided by some of London’s finest, making this perfect launch for another well-considered and beautifully-executed collab from the good folk at Footpatrol.
