Happy Ever After: The Diadora x Titolo Intrepid Five Almonds

The DIADORA X TITOLO INTREPID FIVE ALMONDS is a pastel-dominated spin on the brand’s sleek retro running silhouette.

After being toyed with in collaborations with Packer Shoes and Ronnie Fieg last year, Diadora’s retro running silhouette Intrepid returns this summer in a pastel-driven joint effort with premium Swedish sneaker retailer, Titolo. The summer-ready shoe explores the store’s three founders Italian heritage and draws inspiration from the sugar coated almonds which are gifted at weddings in the country.

A momentous and lavishly done occasion within Italian culture, the pastel coloured sugar coated candies symbolise five wishes for the bride and groom: health, wealth, happiness, fertility and longevity. The crunchy almond has a bittersweet taste, which is said to represent life, whilst the sugar shell represents a hope that the newlyweds’ lives will be more sweet than bitter.

Decked out in premium materials inspired by the common colours found on sugared almonds, the off white super soft premium suede is accompanied by pastel green, blue, red, purple, pink and blue overlays. A white midsole and reinforced plastic heel counter finish the shoe, with embroidered Titolo branding also found on the counter, making the Intrepid a top choice to keep your feet sweet this summer.
