UK brand Folk have mastered the art of creating relaxed, easy-wearing clothing with an unusual twist. For their latest range, the brand collaborates with artists Nick and Phil Goss for a beautiful summer range themed around the J.G. Ballard sci-fi novel ‘The Drowned World’, which imagines a future in which Europe and America swelter in alligator-infested tropical conditions while being submerged by floodwater from the melting ice caps. This seemed like a scary vision of the future back in 1962 when the book was written, but nowadays it sounds like a pretty realistic weather forecast…

If the idea of clothing inspired by art and literature sounds too poncey, don’t worry because the result is a beautiful selection of casual summer garms decorated with painted patterns courtesy of the Goss brothers (not those Goss brothers, btw).
