The HANON x Diadora Aberdeen pays tribute to the Granite City

The HANON x DIADORA ABERDEEN finds the much-loved Aberdeen-based retailer helping Diadora celebrate their 70th birthday year with a special collaboration on the Aberdeen: a 1979 court shoe, which has been updated for 2018 with a luxurious material treatment.

Often referred to as ‘the Granite City’, the town of Aberdeen earned its nickname from a period throughout the 18th to mid 20th century when the city’s buildings were primarily constructed from locally quarried grey granite. This special edition of the Aberdeen draws inspiration from the famous granite of the city, with a smart execution in a mix of grey tones and silver hits. To add some eye-catching contrast, these grey tones are offset with red and white accents and finished with a rich black outsole. Soft calfskin nubuck upper is utilised alongside rugged teasel suede on the toe, with a kangaroo leather heel tab and a double-layer side stripe layered with ostrich leather.
