Today sees the reveal of a very exciting new project from the brand with the original waffle sole: the HOUSE OF VANS LONDON.
Billed as a ‘unique and participative space for all’, this London branch follows on from the incredible popularity of House of Vans Brooklyn and incorporates space for artists, musicians and skateboarders over 3000 square metres. Situated within the Old Vic Tunnels underneath Waterloo Station, the House of Vans offers a permanent, indoor space for open use, completely free of charge. With one tunnel devoted to artistic studios for artists to exhibit work, and another given over to an 850 person capacity gig space (tickets will be free and events funded through crowd sourcing), the other two house a street course and a bowl complete with a deathly-looking doorway gap.
This truly promises to be a new creative hub for London and we are certainly excited for what’s to come. The HOUSE OF VANS LONDON open on SATURDAY 9.8.14 but you can see a preview via the video and the website link-through below.
