INVINCIBLE x ASICS Tiger Gel Lyte III Formosa – A First Look

The INVINCIBLE X ASICS TIGER GEL LYTE III FORMOSA takes inspiration from the Accipiter Trivirgatus Formosae bird. Try saying that quickly!

The bird (more commonly known as the Crested Goshawk) inspired the upper of the shoe, which combines shades of grey in a mix of materials, including nappy suede and leather. As a nod to the bird’s country of origin, Taiwan, INVINCIBLE have added the colour from the country’s flag at the heel, with a white panel that sits between a hit of red and blue. The shades of grey continue onto the lining, midsole and outsole, for a very subtle look, which really helps the colours on the heel pop. Rounding things off are grey insoles that feature red, white and blue stripe detailing to tie in with the heel. We have seen some great collaborations as part of the shoe’s 25th anniversary, but these are definitely up there with the best of them.
