Known and appreciated for this gritty, adrenaline-filled style of play, Russell Westbrook is no doubt one of the most exciting NBA players to watch on the court, but his style off the court is not to be missed either. Having adopted a fearless attitude toward style and sense of fashion, Westbrook’s “Why Not?” moniker is now the focus of a dual-pack featuring the Air Jordan 16 and Converse Chuck 70, his favourite off-court sneaker. Featuring a magnetic shroud that can be removed at a moment’s notice, the Air Jordan 16 takes on a black leather upper, metal studs accenting the shroud, and a broken chain graphic embroidered in the back nodding to Russell’s tough style of play and his love of leather biker jackets. The Chuck 70 takes on a crackled leather upper reminiscent of peeling concrete, a nod to Westbrook’s love of street-style basketball, whilst the same broken chain graphic is embroidered in egret on the upper of the shoe. Each pair boasts “Why Not?” written on the tongue, whilst silver metal rivets appear on both and bounce back and forth between shared aesthetics.
