Karhu Aria Legend OG Inspired Pack

The KARHU ARIA LEGEND OG INSPIRED PACK sees two more colourways of the brand’s iconic ’90s runner release alongside the OG colourway (which you can view here).

The Finnish brand has an genuine heritage in running and a deep connection to the outdoors, dating back to 1916. The brand follows the principles of simple design and running purity by providing technical running and outdoor gear. Their shoes have been worn by some of the country’s greatest runners including Olavi Suomalainen and Paavo Numri, who gave rise to the term Flying Finns.

Back when it first released, the ARIA featured two technological innovations – the Fulcrum midsole and mono tongue upper construction, both of which were iconic technological developments for the ’90s era. To give the Fulcrum component an extra touch, a carbon fiber plate was added, which provided extra support.

The first pair sports a suede upper, with a perforated toebox, in a trio of colours. Starting with yellow on the toe, the shoe gets darker towards the back, with orange utilised at the mid-foot and navy blue at the heel. The dark shade of blue continues on to the neoprene sockliner, whilst black details rounds things off. Underneath is a light grey midsole, with dark blue specking, rounded off by a multicoloured outsole that combines white, black and yellow. The other pair is a little more toned-down, with two shades of blue suede laid over a white mesh base, punctuated by light grey at the mid-foot. The neoprene sockliner is finished in navy blue, whilst black details round things off nicely. The upper sits on a clean white midsole, and multicoloured outsole, which is a mix of white and black with a pop of red.
