The KENDRICK LAMAR x REEBOK CLASSICS – RESPECT THE CLASSIC film coincides with the release of the new REEBOK CLASSIC LEATHER PERFECT SPLIT PACK, continuing the collaborative series between the sportswear brand and the rapper.

Directed by acclaimed director Nabil, this new video features the much respected West Coast rapper reciting a spoken word piece about individuality and self-expression. Nabil’s distinctive aesthetic features a nostalgic edge, using vintage film equipment to capture Kendrick at his most raw and characterful. Kendrick shares his first experiences of the Classic Leather, stating the importance of paying homage to your beginnings. The new Perfect Split Classic Leather brings Kendrick’s split personality to life with contrasting color block accents, a unique split rubber outsole and a retro gum sole to round things off. Collaboration projects are a common concept in this era, so it’s refreshing to see something with so much substance and creativity behind it.
