Kendrick Lamar x Reebok Ventilator – Release Info

The KENDRICK LAMAR X REEBOK VENTILATOR is a nod to the gang culture of the rapper’s home town of Compton.

The concept behind the colourway is the idea of neutrality, with a balance between the Blue (Crips) and the Red (Bloods), which are two of the largest gangs across America. Set against an entirely off-white upper, the heels sport BLUE on the heel of the left foot and RED on the right, with the respective colours continuing on to the KENDRICK LAMAR and TDE tongue label branding. The tongue label wraps its way on to the back side of the tongue, where the word NEUTRAL gives a clear indication of the shoe’s inspiration. Underneath, a creamy off-white midsole matches perfectly with the upper and it’s rounded off by a gum-coloured outsole. Whether this release will improve relations between the gangs, we don’t know, but it’s definitely a clean collaboration.
