Lacoste LIVE x BAIT

The LACOSTE LIVE X BAIT drop is the fruit of a partnership between the French brand and American West Coast retailer.

The two have collaborated to reimagine the Inca silhouette, using Lacoste’s iconic crocodile logo as inspiration. The mid-top sneaker is clad in a ‘crocodile skin’-style fabric that was created with heat enhanced oiled leather (nubuck) on the quarter panels and supportive heel straps. BAIT and Lacoste added a ridged collar on the bootie for a snug and comfortable fit, while other details include a large ventilation perforation on the side panels, extended tongue webbing with a reflective 3M BAIT print, and co-branded leather insoles. In a nod to Lacoste’s nautical wear heritage, the BAIT branding on the tongue was designed to appear like the graphical iconography that is often printed on large sails and nautical flags. In keeping with the tough, crocodile leather-like appearance, the shoe’s colourway comes in a slightly worn- and weathered-looking matte black. All of the above sits on top of a contrasting thick, white rubber outsole.
