The LE COQ SPORTIF X KICKS LAB. collab pays homage to the French military and its traditional camouflage pattern.

LE COQ SPORTIF had a big presence in Japan during the ’80s and ’90s, predominantly due to its football line, and this latest collaboration with KICKS LAB. builds on the brand’s resurgence in the land of the rising sun. The first pair from the pack is the EUREKA, which sports an upper that combines the colours of the camo in a colour blocked style, with light grey on the toe, khaki at the mid-foot and black at the heel. White on the lining and midsole lighten things up a little, whilst the latter sports grey and black details to tie in with the upper, which continues onto the outsole. The second pair is an R1000, which goes a slightly more traditional route when it comes to camouflage, with the upper dominated by a woodland style camo, broken up by tonal detailing throughout. The midsole continues the tonal look, with a matching tri-colour outsole rounding things off very nicely. As a final detail, reflective hits feature at the heel of each shoe to break things up and add a little bit of pop. The English may not always have had the best relationship with the French in the past, but we can definitely put our differences aside for these!
