LE COQ SPORTIF X SNEAKERSNSTUFF FLASH DUNDERKLUMPEN

Inspiration can come from a lot of different places and for their latest collaboration with LE COQ SPORTIF, the team at SNEAKERSNSTUFF have been inspired by an old Swedish movie called DUNDERKLUMPEN.

Written by Beppe Wolgers and animated by Per Åhlin, this classic movie from 1974 was the very first Swedish animated film. It starred the mystical character DUNDERKLUMPEN, who solves his loneliness by using magic to bring toys to life. The only problem is that the toys belong to Camilla, the daughter of Beppe Wolgers, who also stars in the film. Beppe and his son Jens set out to get Camilla’s toys back and you get to follow them through the Swedish midsummer night. As a Swedish child of the ’70s, you were guaranteed to have heard or seen something by Beppe Wolgers and the values and punchline of many of the TV shows and films that he was involved in set a standard of moral and values for an entire generation. With this in mind, the guys at SNEAKERSNSTUFF thought it would be an obvious choice to inspire a colourway for a collaboration.

Combining the vibrant colours of Dunderklumpen’s clothes, the upper feature a combination of blue and turquoise, with pops of yellow as a nod to his hat. The toe box is coated in a smooth leather with perforated details that also makes an appearance on the heel. Smooth leather continues across the turquoise part of the upper and tongue with hits of purple on the labels: one featuring the classic LE COQ SPORTIF logo, whilst the other sees a custom-style SNEAKERSNSTUFF logo. The heels also see a pop of purple on the branding, with each brand name taking pride of place on the left and right shoe respectively.

The LE COQ SPORTIF X SNEAKERSNSTUFF FLASH DUNDERKLUMPEN is set to drop at SNEAKERSNSTUFF on SATURDAY 11 APRIL and will be available via our RELEASE PAGE.
