MIZUNO X HANON SKY MEDAL ‘THE ANGEL’S SHARE’

The MIZUNO X HANON SKY MEDAL ‘THE ANGEL’S SHARE’ celebrates the classic ‘90s running model and the two countries’ love of whisky…

Now going on 30 years since being founded, retail store HANON has come from humble beginnings in Elgin, a small town located in the Speyside region of Scotland, to now an incredibly established and respected company with their solo store in Aberdeen. To celebrate their 30 years going strong, another partnership with Mizuno is on the way using the historic ‘90s Sky Medal silhouette, this time taking on a colourway to represent the poetic nature of whisky and both Scotland and Japan’s love of it. Aptly named ‘The Angel’s Share’, described as the percentage of alcohol that evaporates from a cask into the air as they whisky ages over time, the pair are nothing short of visually and physically beautiful. With this inspiration behind them, the pair makes use of a brown corduroy across the upper whilst tones of chocolate brown pig suede appear on the underlay and a vibrant blue cord provides a luxurious pop. Dual branding appears on the tongue and a leather insole features the phrase “Uisge beatha” which translates to “water of life”.

The MIZUNO X HANON SKY MEDAL ‘THE ANGEL’S SHARE’ is set for a wider release on SATURDAY 7 MARCH. Hit the banner below for stockist information.
