Tech and Tradition: The nanamica x New Balance RC_1 Collection

The NANAMICA x NEW BALANCE R_C1 collaboration finds New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio joining forces with the technical masters at nanamica for a premium capsule collection centred around the new R_C1 shoe.

Eiichiro Homma and the team at nanamica are renowned for combining clean design with functional materials to create premium apparel. Since its inception in 2003, the brand has proven to be a pioneer in mixing fashion and function – a logical partner for New Balance’s unique blend of tech and tradition.

The New Balance RC_1 model comes fresh from the Tokyo Design Studio, based on the classic 1300 series but with several key upgrades. The upper section features premium GORE-TEX construction and is rendered in smart earth tone colours, whilst the ENCAP Reveal cushioning underneath offers unparalleled support and durability. To complement the two footwear offerings, a selection of apparel joins this collection, communicating the ‘mix of sports and fashion’ brand messaging and featuring a special co-branded logo.
